Alexandra Preate
founder and Chief Executive OfficerAlexandra V. Preate is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of CapitalHQ.
Preate specializes in media relations, crisis communications, strategic partnerships, development, and business strategy to top industry leaders and organizations, including business executives, renowned authors, think tanks, non-profits, and more.
Her clients are regularly featured in national media outlets including FOX News, FOX Business Network, ABC, NBC, CNBC, CBS, CNN, Breitbart, The Hill, The New York Times, and The Wall Street Journal. “There is no one better at client service than Alexandra Preate,” said Larry Kudlow, legendary economist and former White House Official.
Prior to founding CapitalHQ, Preate worked at the American Swiss Foundation as Director, assisting the organization’s President, Faith Whittlesey, who was twice a United States Ambassador to Switzerland and Assistant to the President for Public Liaison during the Reagan Administration.
Additionally, Preate was a founding member of the Monday Meeting in New York and a member of The Pennsylvania Society.

Vice President of External AffairsPrior to CapitalHQ, Rath served as Vice President and Producer for Woodruff Sawyer, One of the largest independent insurance brokerage and consulting firms from 2020 until 2023. During Rath’s time at Woodruff Sawyer, she developed a strong relationship with NYSE to generate targets, prospects, and clients within the capital markets team, specifically in the Life Sciences, Healthcare, Tech, and Consumer sectors. Rath collaborated with the capital markets team at NYSE to organize IPO summits specifically tailored to the life sciences and healthcare sector. These summits featured panels encompassing insights from various perspectives including tax, audit, banking, finance, law, and newly listed public company CEOs/CFOs.
From 2018 until 2020, Rath served as a Business Development Consultant for Lockton Companies. In this role, Rath worked to establish a new Life Sciences and Healthcare practice for Lockton Northeast, developed a strategic approach that prioritized Directors & Officers (D&O) and Cyber insurance for publicly traded companies in the industry. To stay ahead of emerging risks, Rath actively engaged in conferences and events that provided valuable insights for driving better solutions for clients. Additionally, Rath built strong relationships with investment banking firms such as Leerink, Cowen, JPM, and Morgan Stanley.
In 2016 until 2019, Rath served as the District Sales Manager at Nevro Corporation. Rath successfully identified and pursued new business opportunities with a cutting-edge spinal cord stimulation technology, effectively building a $1.5M territory from the ground up. Rath conducted negotiations to secure local contracts with ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) and hospitals, ensuring a steady stream of customers for our product.
In 2008 until 2016, Rath served as the Orthopedic Territory Manager at Biomet Orthopedics. Rath was responsible for selling reconstructive orthopedic implants to renowned surgeons at the Rothman Institute. Rath worked closely with surgeons, fellows, and residents to prepare for operative cases, reviewing x-rays, operation notes, and surgical techniques. In eight years, Rath steadily built the business from zero to over $2.5 million. Rath achieved recognition in the Bronze Club in 2011 and 2013, and in 2014, Rath earned the Silver Club status for Hips by doubling sales from $750K to $1.6 million.
In 2006 until 2008, Rath served as a Trauma Sales Representative for Stryker Orthopedics. Through effective networking and relationship-building, Rath created strong connections with surgery center administrations, resulting in increased sales through cost-saving solutions. Within her initial year, Rath successfully grew sales from zero to over $100,000 in 2006. This progress continued, with sales doubling to over $200,000 in 2007. Furthermore, I exceeded sales expectations in 2008, seeing a significant increase from $207,000 to $525,000.
In 2014, Rath was a Republican Nominee for the United States Congress in Pennsylvania. Rath was hand-selected by the Chairman of the Pennsylvania Republican Party for a significant role. During her run for congress, Rath distributed over 80,000 pieces of literature, posters, and ballots throughout the PA-01 district. Rath earned endorsements from reputable organizations, including three national endorsements, the Philadelphia Republican City Committee, the Delaware County Republican Committee, and VIEW PAC (Value in Electing Women).
Rath received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Pennsylvania State University in 2002.
In addition, over the last six years Rath has pursued a personal project of “Climbing the Seven Summits”, the tallest peaks on each continent. To date, she has summited six out of the seven peaks: Kilimanjaro in January 2018, Elbrus in July 2019, Vinson in December 2022, Denali in May 2023, Aconcagua in December 2023, and most recently Everest in May 2024. The last peak to climb is Carstensz Pyramid.

Director of Public RelationsMr. Schuck is a seasoned political strategist with over a decade of experience in communications and campaigns. Mr. Schuck joins Capital HQ from Actum, a global consulting firm specializing in government relations and strategic communications, where he held the role of Senior Vice President.
Prior to this, he served as Senior Major Gifts Officer at the American Cornerstone Institute, founded by Dr. Ben Carson. Previously, he served as Communications Director for Representative Jason Smith and the House Budget Committee, contributing significantly to Representative Smith’s national visibility and shaping the Republican conference’s messaging.
Mr. Schuck also held positions as White House Liaison for the United States Agency for Global Media, Communications Director for Representative Sean Duffy, and Communications Director for Secretary Ben Carson at Housing and Urban Development. In 2016, Mr. Schuck served as the Wisconsin Director of Communications for Donald Trump’s Presidential Campaign.
Originally from Potomac, Maryland, Matt now resides in Arlington with his wife Ticha, and son Davin.
Maria Papakonstantinou-Spero
Director of Public RelationsMaria combines her unique understanding of behind-the-scenes television production with her unparalleled list of contacts and deep, baked-in knowledge of media operations and relationships. In her previous role as Communications Director for the U.S. House of Representatives, she expanded policy issue management to encompass all mediums of communication for her member. More recently, she has executed strategic communications and reputational management for various nonprofit and private-sector corporate clients. She also produced segments for the TODAY Show and Washington Post.
Before moving to D.C. and dipping her toe into politics, Maria worked in New York City as a seasoned television producer, booking for Fox News, The Dr. Oz Show, and NBC Universal. As a booking editorial producer, she pitched unique and exciting stories, captured people at the center of major news stories, liaised with high-profile guests and celebrities, conducted research to support well-rounded pre-interviews, and managed the daily deadline turnarounds of a live show.
Maria graduated from New York University with a master’s degree in Public Relations and Corporate Communications and attended culinary school at the Institute of Culinary Education in NYC.
